    Bitmatters Opinion Post

Regarding: An article published 21st February 2020 "The Key to Bitcoin’s Future: Inflation" by Bloomberg. Click Here for the full article.

    Bitmatters says...

Reading around a subject is a great way to form your conjecture as it involves critical thinking which fosters informed debate. However, relying on that reading as a substitute for your conjecture removes the other vital elements of the process.

Take this Bloomberg article about Bitcoin needing to find a way to embed inflation to stand any chance of being adopted as a world currency. I understand why the cited academics (and economists) would think and say what they do (it has kind of been my business for over three decades so I should) but I cannot understand why they would blindly just reinterpret something that they clearly do not understand into something that they should understand just because that is the way it is now.

There are no Bitcoin experts (the exception to that being the author(s) of its white paper). Anyone who says that they are an expert is just telling you that they are not by definition. However, I do know that everything in this article relating to how Bitcoin works and what it needs to do to be adopted is embarrassingly wrong and serves to further mislead the misinformed.
