If you wrap a crypto asset up so that it becomes in some way a financial product or service then it ranks Pari Passu with other financial products and services. This means regulation is necessary and appropriate on the same basis. However, forcing the wrapped crypto product, or the underlying crypto, into a different category for regulatory purposes is irrationally discriminate, or for purpose, and should be resisted with the same vigour that one would expect from financial institutions.
