Call me crazy but I do enjoy these articles. Yes, I know that there are nuances in origination that get missed, perhaps on purpose, by the Talking Heads but sometimes even the simplest arguments are blinded by the obvious.
In the case of using gold as a valuation point for Bitcoin, by proxy via the US dollar, the Talking Heads (and/or the originator) have mistakenly projected comparative relatives as absolutes. The solution to their conjecture is found by solving a pair of simultaneous equations and not by equalling the sides of a sum.
I happen to have sympathy with the concept being described but feel disappointed by the way it is misrepresented to appeal to assumptions made about a target audience.
