Asset monetisation in now way means the monetiser is buying the asset, it just means the monetiser is monetising the asset by way of offering a loan, a line of credit to the asset owner. The credit line offered is secured against the asset to be used. The amount of loan offered will depend on the asset and can come in at anywhere between 20% loan to value to 100% loan to value. It is key to know that the monetiser doesn’t buy the asset, they present a line of credit, and there will be contractual terms attached to the credit line offered.
