Trade Parameter 1: How many BTC do you require?
Trade Parameter 2: How quickly do you require the BTC?
Trade Parameter 3: How sensitive are you to market/touch* price?
Best Execution Considerations: (a) It’s critically important to note the touch price offered across global exchanges is not the price presented when buying BTC in larger size transactions (5+ BTC). Trades of larger size can be subject to substantial slippage compared to touch price quotes. (b) The IDB has calculated the intraday BTC price movement is 4.1%.
Once a price timescale and quantity agreement has been agreed between the intake officer and the buyer, the buying Principal will be asked to execute the following steps:
Step 1: Sign a Trade Parameters Agreement presented by the intake officer.
Step 2: Submit KYC details via the GTES website.
Step 3: Confirm identity via a video call with the intake officer.
It is only once steps 1-3 have been completed that the buyer will be connected with the regulated business who will execute the trade in line with the agreed trade parameters.
